Today, vivo unveiled a brand-new phone, with Indonesia serving as its initial market.
We're referring to the Y36, which will replace the Y35 from August of last year.

Though only the 4G variation has been published on the model's official website for Indonesia thus far, the device was intriguingly launched in two variants: one 5G and one 4G.

The only distinction between the two is the chipset that will be utilised and the names of the colour options that will be available: the 4G model will use the Snapdragon 680 and come in Glitter Aqua and Meteor Black, while the 5G version will use MediaTek's Dimensity 6020 in Crystal Green and Mystic Black.

The specifications are the same elsewhere. We're talking about a 50 MP main camera with a 2 MP depth sensor next to it, a 16 MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 44W cable charging.

The 6.64-inch "Ultra O" LCD screen has a resolution of 1080x2388. Vivo's Funtouch OS 13 is installed on top of Android 13 on the phones. The item weighs 202g and measures 164.06 x 76.17 x 8.07 mm.

The recommended retail price for the 4G Y36 is IDR 3,399,000, or roughly $226 or €211 at the time of writing. The price of the 5G variant and the release date for them in additional markets are still unknown.
